Bio
A multi-instrumentalist, Vlasis began to play guitar as a teenager, and soon added bass, keyboards, drums and percussion to his musical skills. After writing and performing his original music with high school friends, Vlasis became a founding member and lead guitarist of the Award Winning, Twin Cities Art Rock Band, Blue Canoe.
After a few years, Vlasis also began to perform as a Solo Acoustic Artist. In 1999, after meeting with Paul La Roche, Vlasis was asked to perform drums with Brule, at the Ordway Theater, in St. Paul, Minnesota. This experience led to an invitation to tour with Brule, full time, this time as a Guitarist.
In 2004, Vlasis released and toured his first Solo CD, Plain Sight. In 2006 he recorded and performed with One Nation. In 2007, Vlasis released his second Solo CD, White Dog, along with an accompanying tour.
In 2009, Vlasis returned with Brule, preforming on the Native Drum and occasionally, on guitar. In his spare time, Vlasis is working on his 3rd solo cd.
Vlasis has also enjoyed interacting on a smaller stage as a special guest for several public schools, jamming with and inspiring children in special needs classrooms and also for elementary and high school kids.
